-Unlock Busta Rhymes 

To unlock Busta Rhymes, create a player with the last 

name of FLIPMODE. Once the player is created, Busta will 

be available in the free agent pool. 



-Play as B-Rich:

Enter the create-a-player screen and enter DOLLABILLS as a last 

name. A message will confirm correct code entry. B-Rich will appear 

in the free agent pool. Select the "Sign/Release Player" option to 

get him on your team

 

-Unlock DJ Clue 

To unlock DJ Clue, create a player with the last name of 

MIXTAPES. Once you're done, Clue will appear on the free 

agent list. 

 

-Unlock Ghetto Fabulous 

To unlock Ghetto Fabulous as a playable character, create 

a player with the last name of GHETTOFAB. Once created, 

he will be available for signing from the free agent pool. 

 

-Unlock Hot Karl 

To unlock Hot Karl, create a character with the last name 

CALIFORNIA. When you finish, check the free agent list to 

discover Hot Karl. 

 

-Unlock Just Blaze 

To unlock Just Blaze, create a player with the last name 

GOODBEATS. Then check the free agent list to find Just 

Blaze. 



-Easy fouls:

When your opponent is backing you down, press Taking Charge to get 

the CPU to foul you.



-Easy freethrows:

Pause game play, then change the controller setting to the CPU. 

Resume game and after the CPU has shot the freethrow, pause game 

play again and change the controller setting back to its original 

value. 



-Easy ball possession:

Play a game with all penalties off. As the CPU has the ball out of 

bounds, quickly press Start, and turn "Out Of Bounds" on. Press 

Start again to resume. The CPU will be called out of bounds, and 

you will get the ball. Note: This trick only works if you turn out 

of bounds on when the CPU is out of bounds, with the ball in hand.



-Bypassing tough defenders:

If you are trying to shoot and have a top defender on your player 

(for example, Ben Wallace, Bruce Bowen, Kevin Garnett, Kobe, Jason 

Kidd, Tim Duncan, etc.) and he will not go for a head fake, take 

a few dribbles. After that, do another fake and he will usually go 

flying. This also can help you draw easy fouls. 



-Slower speed:

Change the game type to "Arcade" and select the desired rules for 

the game. It has a much slower game speed and easier control
